Today, on Pakistan Defence Day, I would like to honor the sacrifices of our brave Army. This is our way of thanking them for what they have done for us. Pakistan Defence Day is celebrated every year on September 6.
The decision to make this day, the government of Pakistan took an official public holiday in 1965. This day commemorates the armed forces of Pakistan, who defended the country during a war against India in 1965. They have been awarded several national and international awards for their actions that won the battle for Pakistan.
Dear friends, we enjoy freedom today because our troops have laid their lives. They protected our motherland with their blood. It is rightly said that a soldier fights not because he hates what is in front of him. But because he loves what is behind his back, and that is his country, people, and memories.

I’m sure I don’t need to tell you that this is an important day for all of us. Our flag is always in the air, and India is threatening us again! However, our new Prime Minister has given us hope by saying that Pakistan will not be a threat to its neighbors.
We celebrate this day of victory with great enthusiasm and pride this year. The country has remained stable and prosperous due to its solid Muslim ideology. Our nationalist leaders have been working daily to protect Islam and its teachings that are in harmony with the principles laid down by the Holy Quran.
Well, it’s time we rise to the occasion and start discussing celebrations. Parades are a great way of showing your love for your country. Festivals also play a significant role in motivating people towards nationalistic goals. Educational institutions organize parades where students gather to show their patriotism and love for their beloved country.
We often see slogans like “Bismillah Ir Rehman Ir Rahim” (In the name of Allah the most Merciful, Most Compassionate) on tablets or flags during these parades, followed by a music tune.
However, even if you don’t feel like showing off your patriotism, you can still motivate yourself by making a promise in your mind that you will always protect your country at any cost.

I have been thinking about this speech for a long time. Since we are celebrating a defense day, I wanted to thank everyone who has contributed to making this possible. We have had sacrifices made by the men and women of our country. I need to acknowledge their contributions because we would not be enjoying this freedom today without them.
That’s right! It is because of our martyrs that we can celebrate today.
We want to thank them in advance for all the sacrifices they have made for us and also tell them how much we appreciate their service. And thanks, too, to the people who kept the defense alive through all these years.

What is this all about? Why do we celebrate Pakistan Defence Day? Where did the idea of celebrating a holiday for defending oneself come from? When did it start? And why does it matter to us? As we all know, September 6, 1965, was a day when India attacked Pakistan in the darkness of night.
I’m talking about the role that Pakistan played in winning the war. This was because we all remember what happened on September 6, 1965, right?
India attacked Pakistan and tried to conquer Pakistan. But we won this war by defending ourselves fiercely, using our weapons and resources to such an extent that soon after war broke out, Pakistani forces were left crippled — and still are — as they struggled against India’s overwhelming power.

It is a historical moment; our country’s Army has helped make Pakistan Zindabad. We saw the courage of our brave soldiers who risked their lives under the blazing hot sun to save the country and their families.
They were once part of a joint army, but today they are recognized as heroes; the patriotic people of Pakistan salute them with respect and admiration.
